Learning English for Business and Entrepreneurship Using Coursera (week 4)

 This is the last week that I want to review. In week 4, there is 1 sub-unit. In this video they will explain startup costs, operating costs and sales projections. They will talk about why they are important parts of the financials of a business plan.

After that, in another video they will look at parts of a simple Income Statement and explain what those parts mean to an entrepreneur or a business.

There is still several videos, articles, and assessments that we have to do with minimum grade 70% to go to next item. At the last part we have make peer-graded assignment to write a simple business plan for your new business idea, using the Best Bicycle Delivery business plan as a model. And we have to review other peers then make a comment for their business plan.

I think that's all for week 4, it's difficult to finish peer-graded assignment because I had to think which business plan that suitable for several elements of business plan. 

Learning English for Business and Entrepreneurship Using Coursera (week 3)

Today I want to explain you about my course in Coursera on week three. In week 3, there is 2 sub-unit to learn. The first sub unit is Why Write a Business Plan, in this video, they will describe a business plan and explain how business plans are used. They'll preview the basic parts of a business plan, and review the unit 3 topics.

The second sub-unit is Marketing. In this video we will explore the role of marketing in business and in a business plan. They'll also define and review the concept of a marketing mix. After that I'm reading some articles and do assignments with minimum 75% grade for every assignments.

That's all for week 3, I think it's more complicated than previous week because there are videos that we have to pay attention carefully for answer assessments.

Learning English for Business and Entrepreneurship using Coursera (week 2)

 On this day I would continue my course in Coursera. In week 2, there is 3 sub-unit to learn. The first sub unit is Market Research. There is several videos, articles also assessment for us to learn about market research and vocabulary flashcard. 

The second sub unit is Surveys. There is several video I learn about Language Focus for Listening Strategies that can improve the ability of listening. Also another video is talking about creating survey after that I'm reading some articles and do assignments with minimum 75% grade for every assignments.

Next, the third sub unit is Data. On this video I learn about how to collecting and classification data for survey. Also on the last part in this sub unit, I have to do Peer-graded Assignment. That means I must think my new product and make a survey also a conclusion about my product. Not only that, I have to rate and comment other else assignments.

Learning English for Business and Entrepreneurship Using Coursera

Today, I'm going to deliver about online business and entrepreneurship course using Coursera. English for Business and Entrepreneurship is a course created by the University of Pennsylvania, and funded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Office of English Language Programs.

There is 5 week to finish this course and we can set our goals to finish it. I set my goal is 2 days per week.

For the first week, there is 4 sub units and additional exercise for every unit. Week 1 they review why people become entrepreneurs and discuss the impact of entrepreneurship on people and their local economies. The language goals are reading skills and comparative structures. The content goals are understanding simple business and entrepreneurship concepts as well as the difference between a small business owner and an

The first unit that we learn is Introduction. In this unit, they introduction the main goals of this course. And this part we gonna select which word or phrase that we already know or not the meaning of it.

The second unit is "What is Entrepreneurship?"  In this unit, we learn definition about Entrepreneurship by understanding an articles also we have to do game and quiz to pass this unit. Minimum grade is 70% for every quiz.

Next, the third unit is "Why Entrepreneurship?" In this video, they explain how entrepreneurship helps the economy and discuss why people become entrepreneurs also talk about some of the challenges that entrepreneurs can have. There is three videos what would explain the materials of entrepreneurship and there will be articles we have to read and understanding. After that we should pass quiz with minimum grade 70% for every quizzes.

The forth unit is Products. In this video, we will explore a sample sentence structure for simple one-sentence product descriptions. Then, we should read an articles and pass quiz with minimum grade 70% for every quizzes.

Futher, the fifth unit is Startups. In this video, we learn about deciding on type of startup and we learn about definition also different between profit and non-profit. There is video who explain about risk, failure and important steps to build a business.  Then, we should read an articles and pass quiz with minimum grade 70% for every quizzes.

The last part in this unit is Additional Resources and Exercises. In this section we will reading some articles and doing quizzes. There is 5 articles with various themes.

It's very interesting to learn business and entrepreneurship with this course. I learn so many vocabularies that I wasn't know before. Also I learn who to build a business, actually it's so fun. That's all, thank you.
